(and i like the symbolism you've got in that example).
OMG. That's really gross. Agree with buzzandhum about the design though.
The process sounds very painful and I think on your face would not be a good look.
But I get the symbolism-and it would certainly be a powerful statement as a scar rather than a tattoo.
Where's it going to be? And also, why scarification over a tattoo?

With scarification the body creates the scar its an actual part of you as opposed to a tatoo where the ink isnt created by your body and therefore not really a part of you. Barring plastic surgery the scar is there for the duration of your stay here on earth.

I like the design and understand the symbolism of why you would do it that way. I would personally question using scarification, which is as I understand a fairly painful process. Of course I am not into body modification.
